We have a brand new 705 on the rear and are considering ordering a 21" for the front.

Worst we can do is invest the price of the tyre, and at later time, change over to a 19"

And NO we don't have a spar hub, rim and spokes, so yes $600 is close to the price.

OEM Brake Pads

Supposedly the nice parts lady had an application that allowed her to see the "closest dealer" that had the parts.

As noted earlier, just wanted the backing plates and shims.

Agreed but disagree

You can walk into any NAPA/Car Quest/Auto Zone and get brake pads or for that fact linings for 99% of the vehicles on the road.

Why would there not be ONE set of stock rear brake pads within 600...

Extra Electrical connection

In our opinion, we always fuse any accessories we add to a vehicle.

Easy to isolate that particular add on from the balance of the vehicle's wiring system.

Rear Pad Replacement

2008 DR650

Replacing stock rear pads with Galfer pads to match their rear wave rotor.

Stock pads seems to have a thin aluminum shell over outboard side of the pad material that the Galfers do...

Tyre Size for DR350 18" wheel on DR650

Rim width of 2.15 suggests that the widest should be a 120 X 18

Any thoughts.

Norther Tool to the rescue

Norther Tool has a light duty Hand Impact Tool in stock.

Should work well for 5 rotor bolts.

Will apply heat, give then a sound swat with the hammer

Use a new quality 6 mm Alan bit.

DR350 18" Rear Rim

Turn out my spare rim is an 18" and a 17" like we were told when we bought it.

So, any issues running it on the DR560?

What width Shinko 705 will be the one to mount?

Seal on both sides.

That will save some time Sunday when we redo the rear wheel, mount the Shinko 705 with HD Tube and new Warp 9 Rotor.

Only thing we have not decided is the rear...

There are multiple resources for fan kits for competition off road dirt bikes listed in the Magazines

Would not be too difficult to adapt on to the DRs Oil cooler if the need might arise.
