R67/3 horn

Horn on R67 was taken apart by painter, looks great, no honk. I cleaned points, checked that the magnet was pulling the diaphragm down, set points with continuity tester, set points closed, they open...

I have an 84 R80ST with an LED headlight. I run heated grips and Gerbings jacket and have never had a charging problem. Never had a problem with the stock headlight either.

I had the carb spigot in head come loose by about 1/8 turn. Caused enough air leakage to cause your symptoms.

Try pushing the white connectors individual wires together with small screwdrivers after the connector snaps together. Mine did the same thing, work fine now.

I followed your specs and my forks had zero stiction before oil was added. My front brake is not here yet, but forks bounce as normal. Wondering if your nicely turned spacers are too close to the ID...

Noise

The R 90 sometimes makes a gobbling noise if the crankcase breather is bad or there is a lot of blow by. It's in the area that you are hearing the noise.

Buy a 01 to 04 Montesa. HRC motor extremely strong frame great suspension. It is a little heavier than the others. My bikes have been tires and gas only.

Usually is float needle and seat not sealing. Pop the float bowl off and check for crud. turn petcock on and lift float with finger to see if gas stops. Could also be float level too high. New gasket...

If you want to stay tubeless, get a stick of Door eze. It's a stick of waxy lube for door latches. Even works on rusty steel wheels. Lasts as long as the tire.

Does anyone make one for the R80ST besides Toaster Tan? I don't have my blinkers up high like his mount has. I put a 4 piston Brembo up front and I get some twist when braking. Thanks
