I would suspect nothing more than an adjuster that loosened or the like. I haven't heard of a single cam failure since the roller change.

Have you pulled the valve cover to check?

Mine had the recall done before the bike left the showroom and was spotless to 50,000 miles. The right side started making noise last year, so I preemptively replaced the cams and tappets....
