I definitely don't think they're bulletproof I've had great luck with mine though, almost 50k. I do carry a spare and for the $55 I'll probably toss in a new one over winter.

Death wings are crappy stock tires, Trail Wings is what they really are. I'd buy which ever one was the best price and color you like, the rider is 10x more of a factor than the bike.

Keep in mind in colder areas it's pretty standard to need some kind of sleeping pad under you even with a cot. They don't do much for warmth with no loft in your squished sleeping bag.
