Next time try cutting of the plugs and soldering (lφten) the cable that connects the regulator with the loom (Kabelbaum).

If the plugs are burnt the regulator is prone to fail.

A: Get a Schuberth helmet (expensive, but worth the money).
The C3 for example has a Pinlock visor and a brilliant airflow mechanism.

B: Saliva (cheap). Works with scuba goggles, might also work...
