My 2012 GU, Well sorted
I think a lot of responses are from old time Ural owners that owned the pre 06 and those made from 06 to 08. They did require sorting out. My 2012 has had one issue and that is the compliance fitting...

Tire Stand
Look at the website. It can be ordered without the changing tool. So if you are in the group buy or were in the first one you do not have to get the tool with the stand.

I hit reserve around 200km and it will take 4 gallons (plus or minus) to fill the tank. That is 200 km X0.62=124 miles/4 gallons=31mpg. I still do not think my engine is broke in yet as I am still...

Have a 2012 GU at almost 7000 km. The hardest thing to do so far is adjusting the valves and that is no big thing. Anything you want to do to your ride or maintenence is available on Soviet Steeds....

If you do not have 2X then you will always be limited to where you really can go. If you do not have it, then I guess you will not miss it. I have used mine some here in the sand of Gaines County....

Octane
The refiners hate the 10% ethanol blend for regular unleaded. It bumps the octane up around 89 and they have to put out 87 in most areas. They HATE to give away octane. However, they make it back on...
