I'm guessing plastic trim vent piece fell or broke off the one bike. Both are LED and they both have DRL integrated into the main lamp and not below it like the halogen light on the GS does.

I put it on because I had one from my previous bike. Just unhooked it and can't really tell a difference. Unlike the camhead and my F800ST my GSW has zero throttle on/off snatch which is what the BP...

If you are talking about a camhead engine, I believe there is a valve check specified at 6,000 miles. For the new GSW, first valve check is at 12,000...although I know at least one dealer that still...

As I recall this was a BMW test mule/rider. He may be a very skilled rider but perhaps had been instructed to go out and test ride the thing at max lean angle, which appears to be what he is doing.
