Agreed. Run a KLR on the highway and you're gonna burn oil. Keep it on the backroads with low RPMs and it'll never let you down.

Isn't the purpose of the AP2 so accessories won't have to be individually wired into the bike? If the lights are wired to a switched circuit on the fuse block and the on/off switch is wired between...

The AP-2 should act as the "white wire" as long as the positive and negative wires from the lights are wired to a switched circuit on the fuse block.

I would just coil it up with a zip tie and stash it under the body rather than clipping it. If in the future you want to use the harness on another bike you'll want it intact.
