and never fires up again it can't be the caps. or the ht cables. Because the chances of it happening on BOTH caps is 0 and if doesnt happens one of the cylinders should work at least briefly.

It is a very good seat, bit higher, but OK.
The only think you got to pay attention is that if you are quite tall you can sit much frther back because of the rise of the pillion part.
