My '05 640 Adventure has got 21000 miles on the clock and will now not rev out over 6000 rpm. I've cleaned out the filter but that's not it.

The tacho is ok, it's not a ground. I had some problems with the main fuse relay needing to be replaced a few months ago and the tacho went nuts then. All that is sorted now.

I think it's a break...

The speedo on my 05 950 Adv has just started to stop!
It reads 0 first thing starting out on a ride then almost as if it "warms up" and goes crazy for a while then settles down to read ok....

Yes, definately the starter relay.

It was corroded and fell apart when inspected. All the connections to battery etc were tight and had petroleum jelly put on them regularly.

We have the valves on the block which let air into the sytem under load in 2nd (I think) and 3rd gear....
