I had a 2000 TTR600 and rode it from Canberra to Uluru and back with the 21L Acerbis tank. It was beaut bike with a thumping torquey motor. The balance seemed a bit light in the front end in corners...

How about the Pirelli MT-70?

The 2001 TE-610 was only a 575cc.
The seat on the 01 model was a absolute bum killer. Too narrow, too hard, I can feel the seat base through it. Not good for long distance riding.
