Check the beads are properly seated

Are you sure the tire beads have fully 'popped' onto the rims... check the bead line on the tire is equidistant (about 1/4 inch) from the edge of the rim all the way round on both sides.

50-state sticker specifically says CA-compliant.

BUT... DMV will very likely want to see the sticker; if they do want...

R1100GS upper fork bridge removal - heat?

Clymer manual merely states: "Loosen the Allen bolt..."
But reassembly calls for Loctite and 96 ft-lb torque.
So, don't I need to heat the frame/bolt for safe removal?
