I used to run Mallory condensers on just about everything and had good service. That would eliminate the BMW condenser question.

Is that the 2 stroke/4stroke hybrid that was called the 5 stroke motor?
It had a 4 stroke head and used crankcase pressure to load the intake
with reed valves like a 2 stroke.

I agree. I have seen them surfaced on an automotive head surfacer that is like a belt sander. The top surface is level but the rocker shafts are not even close to being perpendicular to the valve...
