It might feel less powerful to some. I honestly haven't notice any loss of power though. It's certainly much more controllable now. The throttle was positively binary, as it came from the factory.

My Triumph Thruxton has a nice smooth shift. My Yamaha FZ09 has a very notchy shift in the lower 3 or 4 gears. The Yamaha is the worst I've ever experienced.

That's the kind of information I was hoping for Kilo, thanks. I definitely want to keep the Thruxton but I just want something that would make long rides a bit more tolerable.
