It's not just you. I and others on this forum had similar hopes for this bike. "Worst of both worlds" - spot-on what I am thinking - well said.

In my mind, it's the only thing missing from the C14 that I would want. Okay, Angel GT's would be great OEM tires, but I'm reaching now.

Same here. I'll call it downright ugly. The whole front end is pretty bad. Too much Multistrada/Tenere in it for my taste, even though I like the FZ-09.

Add another vote for the Ninja 1000. The new version (2014) is better yet, especially for sport-touring. If the ST aspect is unimportant to you, find a deal on a leftover or used 2013 and previous....

Having ridden both, I concur with the poster. The C14 fits me like a glove (6'2", 205, 35" inseam) and is definitely more confidence-inspiring for me. I also like the look of the C14 much better.

I rode the FZ-09 and the FJR at a recent demo day, and I have to say that I liked the triple better than the 1300's I4. I thoroughly enjoyed the triple, although it was significantly louder. I also...

I wouldn't.
