I run the Clarke 4 gal on my 96 DR and have never had a low fuel issue. Commuting to work I average 65mpg and off-road normally 55mpg. My DR is all stock except for one size up main jet.

I've ridden my stock DR350 at Moab and Silverton CO with my stock CV carb with no issues, left the stock airbox alone. Elevation at Silverton is around 9,000 ft, not sure about Moab.
