Yes, I put some small pieces of self-adhesive felt between the cluster and the "false" cover over the back of it, speedo side. It had very obvious marks where the two had been fretting.

The other problem in Florida is, no airflow = hot hot hot.
That's the one thing keeping me from trying the Madstad, is all the talk of how much it keeps the airflow off of you.

I found that the tightness of the rubber biscuit bolts made a huge difference in the vibs. Try loosening or tightening these bolts.

Although I think dealertool is matched to the bikes ECM serial number. You can have multiple users for about $30 per vin.
