I use Purolator or Mobil1 filters at about $12.00...

I use Purolator or Mobil1 filters at about $12.00 each. The same Purolator fits my riding mower.

As for oil, I use Mobil1 15w-50 at about $30.00 and change it annually regardless of miles.

Non-BMW oil and filter will save you big money. I have never purchased BMW fluids. Their oils are of average quality. The BMW filter is good but there are equals for ~$11.00.

When you adjust the BBIABPSs, you are correcting idle airflow for dirt, wear and other variables including leaking shaft and bushing. When you rebuild the TB, you cancel all those past adjustments....

If you turn the engine over backwards when moving to TDC, the timing chain may catch on the cam chain guide and make a noise. The cam chain guides can be broken turning the engine backwards.

I find the Paralever pivot bearings expensive...last check they were ~$77.00 each side.

A new crown wheel bearing is 85 X 120 X 18mm 19 balls. The price is $106.00. That's expensive for C3...

It seems like you are mixing Paralever pivot...

It seems like you are mixing Paralever pivot bearings and the CWB in the FD.

Determine that you have loose Paralever bearings then determine if replacement is needed oradjustment will suffice.
