This is correct. Headers to Engine Head only require copper gaskets (adding high-temp RTV sealant doesn't hurt). For every other slip-on connection, high-temp RTV sealant is highly recommended.

Stick to the factory recommended oil since the Scram has a wet clutch. I've never had a problem finding neutral hot/cold using Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w-40.
