avgas 100 has a very high lead content,green dye colour
avgas 100LL has a low lead level,go figure the LL,blue dye colour
avgas 82 UL is unleaded suitable for modern...

foam,paper,cotton,poly??? That will greatly effect your decisions! Keep in mind the glue shall not pass air after application, maybe thats why they were applied in spots before. Just sayin.

I used a handbrake mech from a chinese quad bike. Its a simple locking drop pin mechanism that drops down and holds the front brake lever in thus engaging the largest brake on the machine. Works...

There will be NO side effects of freezing the bearings in question for measurement. They don't stay cold for long so the process can be repeated for accuracy. I have done it several times in the past...
