Could probably find a well-maintained V-Strom in that price range. Bit taller than some of the other bikes mentioned with a more wide-open rider triangle. Might feel like a bit more familiar riding...

Not bad at all. If there was Hyosung support close to me, I wouldn't have any problem buying one of their bikes. They're known to have some, usually, minor issues when new, but they offer a very...

Just as an update, I got to test ride a Suzuki Boulevard M50 today which is one of the main bikes I was looking at. FI, Liquid cooled, shaft. I'll be buying it next week. Really smooth on the...

I hope DCT/Semi/Automatics are offered for a long time to come. If I ever get into a situation where constant shifting starts to be a physical problem, it'll be nice to know I don't have to give...

Wasn't referring to any one in particular, but I do like the Bob's and the 1200 sportster as well.

Kinda surprised at the responses actually. I thought someone would chime in about the Vulcan or...

Yeah, was using Maxima before I got my scotoiler, which hasn't worked as well as I thought it would so far.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I won't touch a traditional Harley. The nearest dealer is almost as far as the nearest BMW dealer and I have not heard about good experiences from either.

Never heard of any demo days around here. Maybe in Chicago? I'm pretty antisocial so I'd probably be too nervous to ride a bike. I'd like to try one, but I don't even know how to find out about those...

In a perfect world, I'd have 2 or 3 bikes. I have no garage, and barely anything you'd call a toolbox.

Here's the jist:

First bike, CBR250R. 2nd Bike: Gladius.
