I may be an electrical engineer... but a lot of the problems on ebikes tend to be mechanical.

The bike is a 100 mile range long tail cargo bike, it does about 30mph and weighs about 150 lbs loaded...

4400 Mile Month-Long ADV Ebike Adventure

It's a ADV motorbike, just slow speed. In all of my years of sport touring (8), this adventure was the greatest.

I pushed the seal all the way in as well. I don't believe it should be perfectly flush with the case, though I don't think it matters much if it doesn't pop out.
