Thanks guys. I'll get another seal and try it again. Though I won't have the tool that seats the seal, I should be able to duplicate the depth.

Weepy seal under slave unit.

I've got a similar problem with the transmission seal. My clutch got oiled when this seal failed and I replaced it (and the clutch). I did create the weep hole before reinstalling the clutch slave...

The temp sure makes a difference in tire wear. I spent about a year in Portland, Ore.and was amazed at the mileage I got from my Tourance tires. At least a couple thousand miles more than usual....
