My footpegs have destroyed my Sidi Canyons... wished I'd have thought of that peg mod last year lol.
As far as necessary mods... changing out the front sprocket to lower the rpm at highway speeds...

Prolly cheaper (initially) to get an '01 GS then to rip apart a KLR to get another 8 hp out of it.
260lbs/6'3"... he will need 80-120 hp to keep up with his dad!

I removed the snorkel (rubber sleeve) from the airbox and installed a DynoJet Stage 1...

I like the fact that my motor temperature is constant w/o any swings no matter what season (28 degrees to 120+).
I did a ton of research before my install and the T-Bob has performed flawlessly....

Much better fuel management but... KTM is 'the' machine.
Even a well-equipped KLR will eat a beemer in the woods.
