Some folks have received the shorter fasteners w/ the 3.5 gal tank but more have had to order them from the dealer. Not too expensive.

I understand...i have a 500. I'm just saying the 350 is, imo, better suited for single track if thats what you ride the most. A bike w/ more power will sap your strength quicker than one w/ less...

Don't discount the 350 which is what I would have if I didn't already have a 200. The 500 is great (and may be better if you ride more road) but the 350 would be better if your primary environment is...

Get a 2 x 10/12, bevel one edge where it meets the pavement. Take a piece of flat metal stock & put a bend to rest on the tail gate. I've used the same one for 20yrs w/o fail.

Just keep the smog stuff & install if you take the bike to the dealer. You could call a dealer and ask how desmog would affect the warranty....

Had this problem and it turn out to be the radiator cap being "loose"; I was loosing fluid. I took pliers and bent the tangs on the cap so it would seal tighter and that did the trick. Worth a look.
