Battery is probably bad. Test for voltagd while running at the terminals of the batt. If you have 14v+ all is good. These typical XL batteries suck worse than any moto battery I have seen.

Wiseco specs 2 thousandths gap for the 101 forged piston. I had mine spec.ed to 2.5. A bit of noisy cold but good insurance against a seize.

I love older bikes. The one missing link back in the 80's and 90's was the cutting edge aftermarket and knowledge base we have now. These older bikes can really rock now with some precise tweaking....
