So I don't know anything... The pilot jets were the wrong kind.... the threads where in the wrong place (below the shoulder, instead of above) and I was too brain dead to remember that... Anycase......

Ahhah!

After the scruitineering of the XR, I learned the following:

The carb was totally clean (used a full can of cleaner and blew out all of the passages just to be sure).
Plug and filter are perfect...

I just picked up an 01 BRP... I think it is pretty much stock, but the PO mentioned removing the "restrictions". I have yet to tear into it (COLD in the garage), but can get it started on kick 2 or 3...
