head to Canada as planned, and have someone send your passport when it arrives.

If your trip up and stay in Canada is a couple weeks, your bound to get your passport before you head back.

Thanks for the info.

The key is having the seller leave the plate on the bike until you get it home.

If that doesn't work, what about just using a BC plate to get it back & hope you don't get...

bike licensed in British Columbia to Europe in 03, rode all over in 4 months on that plate.

You make it sound complicated, just buy insurance for Europe, it's expensive as I recall but that's it....

and I spent the night at the Nova Hotel. I think that was it, but its your first hotel as you enter Inuvik.

I did the ride in one day, so I was too bagged for a tent. Pricey hotel - $169 I think....

I pre drilled the oil filter wrench and used the 3 screw method. Used steady pressure and it spun off no problem.:D
