The one bad thing about the early 1100s was the small taper on the crank end which takes all the force of the starterclutch when cranking it over. By boring it even larger increases the the problem.

Check the manufacture date on the side of the tires ,if they coincide with the age of the bike go from there on tire wear. A good guess on mileage would be around 6-8k for a rear and a little more...

Well I finally used it and it definitely cleaned some gook out of the seal ,looked like dead bug guts with some wing remnants mixed in. Didn't ride it yet,maybe Wed.
