Bike 1 had a flat battery.
Bike 2 had a ginormous screen that flopped around at +30 mph. Or any bump.
And equally overcompensating bar risers that caused the mirrors...

I couldn't get past the headlight when these were new.
I have gotten past the looks.
Now they seem like a good sport touring mount.

Well, I was unable to have my KTM 525SX plated. Now I want 1 already done.
I have looked at other state's plated "sorta legal" bikes, but my DMV is not able to confirm legality of out of state...

R100RT sticky tripmeter/odometer

Ok.
Resetting the tripmeter now causes it to stick.
And it is no longer resetting in sync. No longer able to reset to zero.
The 10 digit is off. All zeroes is now 010.0
Now has progressed to not...

Pulled over to check for loose battery, wiring connection-all good.

I like the plastic nut and bolt idea.
And the rubber pins on the outside of the seal pictured were were fatigued as well.
Trim them off and a light bead of silicone would seal to the windshield.

My contribution was to swap out the hex nut for a wingnut & lockwasher to save having to use 2 wrenches to remove the case.

Mine have a bolt through the top front of the rack to the backside of each case.
They are fixed with a wingnut and a lockwasher. Not going anywhere.
Lids are a different story.

I have the style with the narrow latches.
They are refusing to stay latched on a consistant basis.
The PO showed me the bolt the case to the rack trick to help the seatbelt latch.
