Fair enough, but if the question is being asked about the engine (which doesn't need any special checking), it probably needs to be answered about the frame (which does need special checking).

Anybody own the SW Motech headguards? I like that they have plastic to slide on if you let it go on asphalt instead of grabbing like aluminum will, but still have aluminum to help you out off road....

Camhead GSA (GS large) skidplate - traps heat?

I like how the factory GSA (or is it just an optional large size?) skidplate has the big rubber buffer, put would putting that on my GS significantly increase heat at low speeds?

Like I said, it's an issue of degree. The only people I've ever known to be concerned with it were Nextel Cup engine builders when going from break-in oil to running oil.

I would say that Mobil 1 that was analyzed is pretty good - low detergent, which is fine for the change interval called for, good amount of anti-wear additives.

If you want lower, you can buy a low seat from one of several manufacturers.
