It's supposed to have EBR heads, cylinders, pistons, cooling, oiling, rods, and crank. Not much Rotax left in it. They PURCHASED the rights to the design a year or so ago - I doubt they're paying...

I've had to do a little minor work to my Uly but it's a ridiculously fun bike and it's never left me stuck. I sort of enjoy the hot leg now, it's a good bike to ride in the winter :)

I assume the hesitation comes from the big cylinders and high compression. Mine does it more or less every other time I start the bike, regardless of whether it's been on the battery tender or not....

After I stripped out my drain hole threads, I put in a rubber tension plug. That thing stays in nice and tight and I've never had a single leak out of it. I've done about 17,000 miles with that plug.
