My LC4 makes that loud clattering when the idle is too low, it does it just above stall speed for the engine. I have had the top end apart at 15,000 miles and only the water pump shaft was worn.

I have play in the lower shock bearing on my 99 LC4 400D.

The KTM part number is

54203083050 HINGE BEARING BLASTED £45.48

And with seals and a new grease nipple it all comes to £80.
