Its a trials rim, so not sure if it would be strong enough for use on the dakar, but excel rim and tubless sounds...

Not sure what the difference is but something must have changed, it could just be a slight difference of angle where the side stand lug is welded onto the lower frame. Its tight on mine but does fit....
