A silly question
If you remove the oil filter on a 12 GS without draining the case first,
how much oil will be lost. Not a trick question. Thanks

You might have the old first gen Shinkos ( bias ply).
I have been using the new raidials ( two sets now) with no problems

120/80x19 rear knobby on the front
In an effort to get 21 inch offroad performance, has anyone used a 120/80x19 rear knobby on the front of the 1200gs?
This might be a less expensive alternative? The MT21 rear is dot legal.

Sometimes when I hit starter button starter does not fully engage
grinding noise follows. Clean and lube? Anyone else had this happen?
Thanks.
