Does the battery have a good charge in it? Surprising how many low speed issues are caused by weak voltage from the battery. Esp. considering that the starter motor solenoid just clicks.

Does this bike have the TRAC anti-dive unit on the left fork? On some Honda bikes the entire caliper pivots while stopping to actuate the unit.

Just a thought.

Make sure the points are clean, use a points file, emery paper, high grit sandpaper, then clean any grease off with alcohol or acetone. Just don't go overboard, the points also need to be squarely...
