There are three bike shops in town' a yamaha, suziki/ktm and Kawasaki dealer. They are all established and reliable but usually chokko block with work, sizeable portion from out of town travelers...

There are no shortages of thumpers on Kalgoorlie off/roads and plains but couldn't manage to organize or meeting with fellow riders here.

When purchasing a new $14k bike, does it matter if its 2012 or 2013 model?
It's the Yamaha 660z Tenere and I'm sure no difference between 12 or 13 models but that been said, it's still upto a year...

There are quiet a few Brand new Teneres sold in WA, this year alone! So it shouldn't be too hard to find few Tenere owners for a ride.
It's a heavy beast so I'd go slow off...
