In the US the 1977 S and RS for that matter both had spoke wheels. I believe the snowflakes did't appear until 1978.Along with the rear disc brake.

Hey Gary that tank cover may not be correst for that bike.I had one on a /5 large tank and on a /7.They are supposed to fit very snug to the tank.
