Burnt shoe rubber
The mrs keeps sliding her foot back onto the chrome pipes. Result, I have had really good luck with the finest steel wool I could find combined with WD-40.

I think a couple of rod holders would do the trick. You could set them up with poles to look like your are trolling down the highway. Maybe some plastic minos as bait.

On my 90 KLR. Right side of the cylinder, below the coolant fitting, there is a small hole, maybe less than an 1/8", that hole leads to the spark plug well, A blast of compressed air or a lung...

gas tank pickles
Apple cider vinegar does wonders with rust in tanks. Fill the tank to the top with the vinegar. Let it soak for 24 hours the wash it out with water. Air compressor helps dry the tank.

Burnt Goo
The mrs has a tendency to slide her feet too far back on the passenger boards. Chrome pipes burn her boots. I have cleaned the mess off several times with WD-40 and steelwool. Works great for me.
