Fragile?

Buy a 01 to 04 Montesa. HRC motor extremely strong frame great suspension. It is a little heavier than the others. My bikes have been tires and gas only.

Usually is float needle and seat not sealing. Pop the float bowl off and check for crud. turn petcock on and lift float with finger to see if gas stops. Could also be float level too high. New gasket...

Bead leak

If you want to stay tubeless, get a stick of Door eze. It's a stick of waxy lube for door latches. Even works on rusty steel wheels. Lasts as long as the tire.

Top clamp

Does anyone make one for the R80ST besides Toaster Tan? I don't have my blinkers up high like his mount has. I put a 4 piston Brembo up front and I get some twist when braking. Thanks

The bars are taller than stock. The hand guards are off an R80G/S I don't know about the rain protection, it never rains here.

Blue moon or Benchmark has everything you will ever need. They are great bikes. I ride mine a lot. Not much horsepower, but cruises great at 65, handles good, and brakes are better than most bikes...

Deflector decal

I just cut one out of number plate backer. It just won't have the GS in the corner. If you are talented you can cut out the GS with an Exacto knife. I don't have the skills. Mine looks good.

Take shock and bolt to a machinist to make a sleeve. You will damage the shock with a sloppy bushing. Any friends with a lathe?

Just paint the frame. I just completed a /2 complete restoration and I wish I had painted the frame. The factory never powdercoated anything. Matching finishes even in black is tough.

Thanks for the help, didn't know the seal could make noise. Just tore top end off, heads look great. Bore and piston in spec. Rings are worn have.040 end gap. Supposed to be .012 to .017 probably...

Caswell in Plastic PD Tank?

I have a beautiful low mileage 93 PD. Since moving to California the tank is starting to get fine spiderweb cracks in the paint on top of the tank. I think the ethanol is causing the tank to expand....

My PD did the same thing. One of the carb mounts that screw into the head was loose causing an air leak. A little loctite and all is good.

The hole surrounded by the red fiber washer contains a spring and a cylinder with a pointed end. Just finished rebuilding a 51, I have access to all the manuals, but won't see the owner of the bike...

Zip ties

I've used heavy zip ties on trials bikes before to keep the flat from rotating on the rim. It worked to finish on time, just not very well. Fix it if no time constraints, save your rim.

Throttle plate screws

I have an air powered tool etcher, for marking your name on tools. It is the best thing I have found for peining the screws. No chance of bending the shaft.
