Don't whack if you don't have that tab with the screw in it supported underneath.

The whole unit is dipped in a weather proofing resin, so bubbles are sometimes to be expected. I bet I can find some on mine, especially in the tiny areas like embossed or recessed lettering.

This is all good stuff. I'm super diligent about cleaning connectors, and have done so on this bike. I did all my volt readings after having cleaned all switched power and groundings to the ignition....

I use vinegar for my stripping. Works great. Just crappy white vinegar from any store. Most recommend it soaking for 24 hours. I usually do around 48 hours.

I've had really good luck and ease with the POR15 kit. Caswell is pretty awesome too. You can't loose with either of the two.

Hah! Touche. Funny enough, one of the idle set screws rattled off my guzzi somewhere on the interstate. My front fender tried to do the same but the brake lines kept it on.
