Snow levels near North Bend, WA (3 trips)

Here are some pics showing the snow level over 2 weekends - around 2000 feet still, but melting. Waiting for it to clear to 6000 feet so I can ride the WA Backcountry Discovery Route.

Water is key to being well in heat, for sure. I found this water filter option that looks quite light weight and very easy to use. Good for camping and for emergencies if there are natural sources...

Thanks for the other tips, but as a former Army guy, I think you ALWAYS need to have basic survival stuff in the boonies....food/water at a minimum, and paper map and compass so I can start walking...

Givi topcase (big one...holds 2 helmets... or one briefcase :D) all the time.

Have 2 side cases I use when I need to haul more stuff (also Givi) but otherwise leave them off.

And a tank bag...
