I am with you....

I am on the fence about the MS because it feels too tall for me, they do have a lower seat which drops the height a bit. I am test riding one on Sat, hopefully they have a lower seat I can check out.

Check a local UPS store or Kinkos. Send it to yourself, call ahead to see how long they can hold it for you. I do this for work when I need parts sent to me.

Just go with a "real GPS" every GPS app I tried locked up the phone after a few minutes, no app has true GPS capabilities such as turn by turn. The only phone that works well is the Droid.

If bringing an m/c in to Cali, I would worry more about the 7,500 mi requirement. I never had a Ca DMV employee ask to see a sticker on bike designating a Ca compliant unit.
