you can't compare the power of those two bikes as they are so different, I cant see you regretting the change.

with a different mounting bracket it could be pointed more flat toward the back, there's enough movement in the two joints to get it down a good 2 inches at the end I'd say.

That slip on made a difference between 3500 and 7500rpms that I could feel. and based on my dirtbike and quad raceing days my ass-o-meter says 2-3hp.

This is a great idea. but no tool box on a skid plate. one of the best things about this bike is how lite it is. it needs to stay that way. and the skid plate would need to work with the cat as well...

yeah post it there but the simple answer is it's really tricky to get the valves right on any XR. Many of them have a tick when cold, some just let them tick, if it cranks good a valve tick wont kill...
