I've noticed these guys (really good riders) wear boots, helmet and gloves in the summer, otherwise just the regular uniform including the short sleeve shirt. I'm more or less on the same page as...

As a helicopter mechanic, I go for the test ride whether I want to or not. Pilots are quite insistent that we do.

I did see that, but it was already gone. The one I've been looking at has been for sale for months. It took me a while to convince myself I want to get a G.C., but I'm sure one will come around one...

I've been looking for a G.C.

I recently offered a guy $4500 for one with over 15,000 miles. Seems like a relatively fair offer, maybe even close to top dollar. What do you G.C. owners think is top dollar for one of these?

Not the fairing

I tend to think its a matter of weight. The crosswind has more effect on the lighter bike.

Where to get a piston for Husky 450?

I could use some help finding a new piston for an '07 TE 450. Don't like my local shop very much. Is the TC 450 piston different? Thanks!

Share the lanes!

It is one of the best things about riding in California. I noticed MOST drivers were courteous and made room if they saw you coming. Tends to piss people off everywhere else. I don't believe it leads...

Second week on MT-43

Impressed by the traction and ride. Running at 12psi. Great for Colorado terrain. Shows very little wear after 200mi. On the front, Kenda K776, can't tell if I like it or not, maybe that's a good...

You said sport touring, right?

I suggest you ride a Ducati ST-3. Then you'll have something you can compare other bikes with. Don't cringe too much when you hear the gravel pelt the fairing.

Lockin'em up

What I'm taking from all this is how important it is to practice emergency braking. Especially when new to the bike. I can hardly wait to try an ABS equipped bike.

High beams on

Especially on my TE 450. Most (unmodified) dual purpose bikes barely make enough light to ride at night. I know more people see me in traffic, and that's got to be safer than otherwise. If they flash...

Go for a dual purpose 250

Fun around town, plenty fast, and riding off road will make you a much better rider. MSF class for sure! Good luck!

Denver flaggers

I'm moving to Denver in about a month and have perused CL for housing, bikes, etc.. The Denver Craigslist Taliban has taken it upon themselves to police the website, I've never seen so much flagging.

Try 100LL

You can get it at your local airport, my 450 runs cooler and haven't had any ping. After a few tanks, I checked the spark plug and no problem.

14-48 on husky te-450?

Just wondering how this combo works on and off the street. The 13-50 works okay, but 3rd and 4th are really close. Does the 14-48 spread it out much?

Te 450

The '07 450 has been a great trail bike for me. Limited use on the highway, but the licence plate is a big plus in Northern California. Its got great power and useful gear ratios. No noticible...
