I've had the same issue with the rear silencer...

I've had the same issue with the rear silencer (muffler) not clamping down tight. I bought a tail pipe expander and used it to flare the cat outlet pipe so the muffler clamp would hold.

I find that in addition to taking off the two nuts under the battery, it helps to take out the screws that hold the bracket to the ABS module. It gives a little extra movement.
