03 and 04 were the blue and white, 05 was the red, white and blue. The 05 came with Laser exhaust cans and a taller seat and was not available with ABS or heated grips, I think only the 03 and 04...

This does not sound like an electrical problem with the depths you're talking about, start with carbs first, make sure you have no leaks in intake tubing as well.

Sounds like fuel line might have dislodged from fuel pump within the tank or in tank filter is completely clogged.

Either way, that tank needs to come off and internal inspection is required.

I've installed the same risers on my 02 GSA, slight rerouting required. Make sure your riser position is not set too far back, that may cause minor binding or chafe....
