Just to confirm, the bike comes standard with metric o-rings, the AS568A-021 is an inch equivalent for the piston. (23.8mm ID x 1.6mm Section)

Mine did this and it was the regulator/rectifier that was bad. See if you can monitor battery voltage while the fault occurs to see if it exceeds 14.7V.
