An option is to instead, mount sw-motech quick release...

You can detour with the unit and it will bring you right back on track once you reach your detour...

The dimensions do not differ otherwise between the 650 and the 1000. I'm only 5'7"...

Some of the claims for chain oilers might be an exageration but at up to 7 times the life out of a chain and sprockets... an oiler then looks a lot more reasonable. Even double the lifespan...
