Those were the days! The old two stroke would clearly speak it's own language, one we used to sometimes curse back then but now look back on as some of the fondest memories of riding a motorcycle....

And there is a mod for that too. Little known but it's out there by request. Keep the hard hitting "Gen-2" S-mode for a drag race and also have a T with no restrictions or hesitation and good power...

The Kaoko works great it just takes some getting used to. Easy to operate though. Good for fine tuning throttle friction to lock in or create some drag. It fits the bike well.

The ABS does not need to be shut off for dirt roads. It they are insecure about that then they should get a different test rider that can describe the performance accurately.

I also use the bike for 2-up and have a top box with a back pad that covers the top edge. My wife's jacket also has a back pad in it, both combined make for a comfortable backrest.

They were showing the 2013 models at the Long Beach show. They had the engine demo and some "Tenere" history as well. Also several aftermarket vendors had Super T's in their booth.

It should not have needed an overhaul at 70K. Somethings not right. It would make me suspicious about how the rest of the truck was treated. Make sure it tracks straight if you buy it.
